Case in point – I hand drew a piece back in ‘99 titled “woman’s back” which I posted to Deviantart HERE. Then I go HERE and find out that some douche by the profile name of “myob” decided he (could be a she, but for the context of this rant I will refer to said theif as he) would take my drawing and, without asking for my permission and adding some terrible filter and gradient effects, push it off as his own and call it a day.

Wow, take a load off myob, you’ve had a long day at the office with this one, you know – with all the right-click / copying and so forth.

Now look, it’s easy to take anyone’s work off the web, but if you respect the artist, the art or the community we call the web at all…you won’t do it. It helps if your not a douche also.

At a recent trip to Target (or Tar-jay as the french would pronounce it), I was eyeballing the game aisle and noticed how many different versions of old games there are. There were like 8 different versions of Monopoly and multiple versions of Operation, Life and Trivial Pursuit. The versions were either ‘themes’ or Branded versions like the Simpsons version of Monopoly.

Either way, it got me thinking of how shitty the board game market must be when they are repackaging old games. Don’t get me wrong, I love the old games and its a commentary of how great they still are, but other than Jenga, which you can’t really say is a board game, I can’t think of another board game in recent years that is worth a damn.

Until they create the next great game, I’ll be content with my Golden Girls edition of CLUE. I say it was Blanche in the hall with the candlestick!

This weeks comic was inspired by a friend of mine who said he hasn’t watched MTV since they stopped playing videos. It raised an interesting question in my head about labels and how poorly they are used these days. Seems that if your called ‘Music Television’ that you would expect it to play music…not so.

Try watching VH1 anytime during the day and take a gander at any one of their ‘celebrity’ reality shows and I challenge you to recognize any of these so-called celebrities. Used to be you had to actually do something to be labeled a celebrity. Now if you posted yourself singing the theme song to The Greatest American Hero, you can now put ‘Singer / Songwriter’ on your business cards.

Somehow got to wondering if cannibals are picky eaters…don’t ask me why or how, it’s the shit that pops into my head as I’m trying to go to sleep at night. By the way, try to google cannibal, you get some pretty scary images…not sure why I thought the results would be more family friendly.

Anyway, in tribute with this weeks cannibal-themed comic, enjoy ‘Johnny Come Home’ by, you guessed it, Fine Young Cannibals (remember them?).

I was at home during this weekend snow storm (one of the perks to living in NC) with nothing to watch when all of a sudden I found the answer to my prayers – back to back reruns of the “To Catch a Predator” series. Talk about entertainment! I know it’s been a while since they’ve shot any new ones but this stuff just does not get old. How awesome would it be if they made a movie where the hitman is Chris Hansen. He wouldn’t need a gun or anything, just a sports jacket and a folded piece of paper.

Also, Predator happens to be one of my favorite movies ever. Quickly, here are my top 3 scenes from this classic:

1. Carl Weathers gets his arm shot off but it continues to shoot his sub-machine gun. That’s some serious action, Jackson.
2. Anytime the Native-American character laughs. He was solemn, serious and badass, but nothing can compare to that demented laugh he had.
3. When Arnold figured out that the Predator is hunting him based on body heat and he starts setting up booby traps and shit. It’s the whole – the hunter becomes the hunted scenario…except with an Austrian accent.

Seriously, what’s going on down there, I mean talk about rock hard! Okay, please someone stop me before I make another rock – penis joke.
