Let me be clear…I love Mario. I love everything mario related. I buy more mario crap than anyone I know. For god’s sake, my son was Mario for Halloween this year. So this issue is by no means a drive-by hate comic, it’s simply my smart-ass way of illustrating the genius of Nintendo of being able to take a simple premise – ‘girl gets kidnapped, Italian plumbers go after her’ – into an empire. The latest incarnation being the new Super Mario Bros. Wii.

I love how such a simple idea, with so many holes in it, can prevail and stand the test of time. In a world of Modern Warfare’s and Assassin’s Creed’s, it’s truly a breathe of fresh air when you can play a game where the plot is to save a Princess who has been kidnapped more times than I can bare to remember.

By the way…the game itself – rocks.

Here it is…the final installment of my week-long Halloween-themed series. This time taking on the very popular ‘Paranormal Activity‘.

Obviously, you would have to have seen it for you to get today’s comic, so if you haven’t done so already – get your ass to the theater! I got to see it this week and although it wasn’t the scariest movie ever, like the adverts say, it is pretty creepy…but for my money, the Exorcist still makes me crap my pants and nothing has come close.

Anywho, Happy Halloween.

So to continue my Halloween themed week, I decided to poke a little fun at this whole Twilight phenomenon. I haven’t seen the film so I’m not really saying anything towards that, I’m mainly talking to the whole Beatles-like frenzy surrounding it.

My boy, Chris Muinos over at Mediaconsumesme.com is working on an article dissecting the evolution or de-evolution (depending on how you see it) of the vampire. From a blood-thirsty monster to a tween with pale skin. I will post an update when the article is up. In the meantime, enjoy the new toon.

So I recently entered my year-old black Pomeranian puppy, named Morrissey (yes, named after the former Smiths lead singer), into a local Halloween contest.

This year, I decided to celebrate Halloween with Halloween-related themes for the Suedehead comic all this week!

This comic will make sense for iphone users. For non-iphone users – ask a friend who owns one (everyone has that friend with one) and let him or her fill you in. Obviously, this comic pokes fun at the movie ‘The Ring‘. And although there are scarier movies out there for sure, the creepiness of that little girl crawling towards the camera cannot be denied.
